Below is a sample of what we offer. Contact us to tailor an expedition to fit your needs.
Muztagh Ata Climbing Expedition - itinerary of 15 days climbing - services beginning and ending at Torugart Pass: Day 1: Meet group at Torugart Pass, drive to Kashgar, dinner, hotel. Day 2: Purchase supplies, drive 204km on the Karakorum Highway to Tashkorgan (3100m), Crown Inn. Day 3: Drive to Subash Pass (4100m), meet camels, load up expedition equipment on camels and trek to Muztagh Ata Base Camp. The trek to BC is about 4-5 hours. Muztagh Ata BC is at about 4500 meters elevation. Days 4–18: Climbing (15 possible days climbing on the mountain). As with any climb on a big mountain with several higher camps, you will need to acclimatise and begin ferrying food and gear to establish Camps 1 (about 5200m), Camp 2 (about 6100m), Camp 3 (6600m), and perhaps a Camp 4 (about 6900m). Summit attempts from Camp 3 are possible. Actual climbing strategy is the expedition's responsibility. The Chinese liaison officer is not a climber and can not be relied upon to make climbing decisions. We recommend reading past Muztagh Ata climbing accounts for more information. There are many sources of climbing information on the internet. Day 19: Pack up gear at BC and trek with camels from BC back to Subash Pass. Meet vehicle and drive back to Kashgar, hotel. Day 20: Sightseeing in Kashgar, breakfast, lunch, dinner, hotel. Day 21: Drive from Kashgar to Torugart Pass, meet Kyrgyzstan operator.
Note: Entry/Exit from via Pakistan and the Karakoram Highway is also possible.
